Therapeutic Horsemanship (TH)

·    SIDE WALKER walks beside the horse during each lesson.

·    LEADER: primary duty is to lead the horse safely throughout the lesson. Other duties may include Side Walking or barn duties as needed.

·    HORSE HANDLER takes part in a mentorship program to learn the techniques and standards involved with getting horses out of pasture, groom them, tack and untack them, and take them back to pasture.

·     OFFICE AND SPECIAL EVENT volunteers assist with filing, data entry, copying and special event activities. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m

·    BARN/GROUNDS HELPER assists with maintaining the barn and grounds. This includes cleaning stalls, mowing, gardening, weed trimming and other jobs per volunteer's skills.

YES program The Youth Exploring Science program admits teens every February.  These teens are nominated through our community partners for admission into the program

Facilitate demonstrations throughout the Science Center, serve as teaching assistants in the camp programs, and work with YES Teens on Science Theater productions Professional development needs to be completed before Youth Volunteers are assigned to a specific work station/duty.
